Why call us before the dealership?
Dealerships almost always quote more than a licensed locksmith for the same key, and they often require an appointment and a tow. We can program most transponder keys and fobs on the spot at our Inwood Road shop, or come to you for vehicles that can't be moved.
What we make and program
- Basic car keys — older vehicles without transponder chips, traditional metal-blade keys
- Transponder keys — keys with an embedded chip that talks to your car's immobilizer (most cars 1995–2015)
- Remote fobs — keyless entry remotes for locking, unlocking, and trunk release
- Push-start smart keys — proximity-detected keys for cars that start with a button press
- Flip keys — combined key blade and remote in a folding housing
- Spare keys — get a second or third key cut while we have your vehicle data on file
What we don't service
Some newer European makes and late-model vehicles require proprietary dealer tools we don't have. We never make a customer drive in just to be turned away — call first.
The list of makes we currently can't service is on our vehicles we don't service page. It's updated as we expand capabilities.
What to bring
- The vehicle itself — for transponder and push-start, we need to program the new key against the car's immobilizer
- Proof of ownership — vehicle title, registration, or insurance card matching photo ID
- An existing working key if you have one — speeds up programming significantly
If you don't have any working key
We can still help. Programming an all-keys-lost vehicle takes longer than programming a spare, and on some vehicles it requires extra steps. Call us first so we can confirm your make and year are something we can service.
